Self quotes; appropriate or rude?

Do you remind people about what you have said before? Self quotes can be used in a constructive or derogatory manner. If you are looking to make a good impression you need to be careful how you are perceived, more than how your wise sayings and quotes appear to you.
Many network marketers use quotations self driven or those from others to promote their business. How many of them assess the impact of their words I’m unsure.
I like sayings myself but not when they are repeated so much that they become an irritating cliche. To understand this network marketing system I have signed up to a few peoples lists, spying on the opposition I suppose you could call it.
When reading self quotes from that I know already from my experience with an individual social marketer I find it interesting even amusing at first. However when I see them repeated over multiple platforms they become irritating.
This impact is difficult to measure for the professional “social marketing gurus” the volume of traffic involved is too high. You need to get personal feedback on an individual basis, rather than using automated tracking systems as you can with clicks on your links.
This is where the newbie social marketer has the advantage, our niche is targeted and we can spend the time to get individual personal feedback.

Do you like sayings?

Sayings and quotes are popular ways to get your work, both written and verbal noticed. Most people like sayings because they understand the meaning without having to interpret the information.
However professional bloggers especially micro-bloggers like sayings, because they can increase interest in their work. This is particularly important in generating traffic since interest increases the liklihood of comments.
Comments on your post increase the rankings by pushing more traffic to your posts. How does this work? Sayings, wise or notable are recognised, catching interest and when a comment is added the interest may repeated by being notified to other users again depending on the platform.
Facebook is a good example of asocial networking platform which operates in this way. If you update your status directly or via an application such as Twitter then your update plus any comments are notified to your friends.
This in turn increases your exposure and helps generate more traffic.

Wise sayings and quotes

I like sayings, especially wise sayings and quotes when famous people made a relevant point, which you can use in your own context. It’s good to know you are using an anecdote which others find thought provoking as well.
I know when I see a quote it seems to link to something already in my mind and make it easier to take on the poit of the author who used the wise says quote. It’s like hanging their thoughts in a place you already value because of the famous point already made previously.
This can be used advantageously in a marketing perspective to give your potential customer a common point of interest. Common ground is of course always a good thing and well known in a sales context to be something which should be identified to help get your potential customer to take on board what you are telling them.
With wise sayings and quotes online it can be even more important for your customer to feel they identify with you. Remember there are so many other places they can go on a global perspective, if you are the one they relate to you are more likely to be the one making a sale.
